Binding the Receiver
Before your FC can receive signals, the transmitter and receiver must be paired (“bound”). The binding process differs depending on the system:
Crossfire
- Turn on the transmitter and select the Crossfire TX module in the module menu.
- Choose Bind – the module enters bind mode.
- On the Crossfire receiver (e.g., Nano RX), hold the bind button and apply power.
- When the LED blinks rapidly, release the button.
- The module detects the receiver and completes the binding automatically.
After a successful bind, the LED turns solid green (connection established).
ELRS (ExpressLRS)
- Turn on the transmitter and make sure the ELRS TX module is active.
- Put the receiver into bind mode:
- Either by plugging the battery in three times briefly (plugging sequence),
- Or by pressing the Bind button in the LUA script on your transmitter.
Alternatively, flash both the receiver and transmitter with the same binding phrase.
After binding, the receiver LED usually turns solid green or blue, depending on the manufacturer.
FrSky (ACCST/ACCESS)
- Turn on the transmitter and select Bind in the system menu:
- ACCST: choose the correct mode (e.g., D16).
- ACCESS: binding is automatic.
- Put the receiver into bind mode:
- ACCST: hold the bind button while powering the receiver.
- ACCESS: use SmartMatch or the button, depending on the manual.
After binding, the LED will turn green or blue, depending on the receiver.
Turn off the transmitter, power cycle the receiver, and start normally—the connection should now work.
